This is the week David Korten comes to Iowa. The author ofTHE GREAT TURNING:FROM EMPIRE TO EARTH COMMUNITY, and WHEN CORPORATIONS RULE THE WORLDis coming to Iowa this week. He'll be addressing a business leaders lunch at the Hotel Ft. Des Moines on Friday the 6th at 11:30am. $20 for lunch and the speaker. RSVP deadline TOMORROW (Tues). He'll be addressing the public in Cedar Rapids on Friday evening the 6th at 7pm at Peoples Church, 600 3rd Ave, SW. Saturday he'll be at Beggar's Banquet , the corner of Locust and 13th Street, for lunch with WILPF members and friends and the organizers of the events here in Des Moines. Order off the menu. Starting at 11:30am. Then Saturday at 2pm he makes his public presentation at the new downtown library in Des Moines. It is STRONGLY recommended you arrive by 1:30.
