DECEMBER 15 IS BILL OF RIGHTS DAY

Through the efforts of the Iowa City chapter of the Bill of Rights Defense Committee (www.bordc.org), Iowa City
Council and Johnson County Board of Supervisors have agreed to proclaim December 15th "Bill of Rights Day" in
commemoration of the approval of the first ten amendments to the Constitution on that day in 1791. Garry Klein,
local coordinator of the BORDC group, will receive the proclamations from Iowa City at the 12/12 City Council
meeting and from the Board of Supervisors on 12/14's formal meeting. Copies of the Bill of Rights will be
distributed by BORDC at both meetings.
